Dianora Marandino - Fantasies of Colour
Exhibition of garments made by Dianora Marandino (03/26/2011 - 05/15/2011) - Quarter of Santo Spirito
Further informations The exhibition presents a selection of garments created by Dianora Marandino between 1947 and 1971. The craftswoman, whom we can justly define as an ‘artist’, devoted herself to studying colours to be used in the experimentation of new techniques for painting and printing on fabric, and for the dying of wool yarn to be used in weaving. Where: Costume Gallery, Pitti Palace, Pitti Square 1. When: from March 26th t May 15th. Opening hours: 8,15AM-5,30PM (March); 8,15AM-6,30PM (April, May).

Further informations New in this second edition is the Artisan Ice Cream Village in Pitti Square! In one of the most beautiful squares of Oltrarno cream makers from all over Italy prepare and offer their classic, exotic, fun gelato flavours.
Gelato tastes to suit any taste: in the whole city as well as in Oltrarno gelaterie will be open until midnight from May 25th to 29th.

Further informations Architecture Studio 70m2 presents in Florence the second stage of LUMINA, traveling exhibition with creations of light by italian and international jewel designers.
LUMINA combines in an original way jewels and light, a key element in both architecture and jewelry. Craftsmanship, artistic skills and attention to details are key elements in contemporary jewelry as well as in this collection of unique pieces - precious accessories for the home.

Vinum nostrum
Art, science and myths of wine in ancient mediterranean civilisations (07/20/2010 - 04/30/2011) - Quarter of Santo Spirito
Further informations Wine and the grapevine are the protagonists of the exhibition. Original showpieces, sculptures, frescoes and mosaics, accompanied by multimedia and video installations will recount the millenarian history of the grapevine and of wine, and the important influence they exerted on the culture of the ancients.
